Electro–Romantic–Operatic is what definies the universe of Stathis. Most of musical pieces is built on an electronic weft, are added synthesizers and samples of ancient or ethnic instruments. These sound combinations give rise to original creations which combines  gothic, trip-hop, byzantine, oriental and cold-wave, flirting sometimes with the outdated imaginary of a soundtrack movie, all served by an uncommon voice, sometimes operatic, oriental or bluesy .

Born in the Basque country where singing is a daily act, lulled by nature and the ocean, Stathis acquired an eclectic musical culture ( David Bowie in 1974, the punk movement in 1977 and the new-wave ) and a high requirement like the ballet lessons which form his silhouette, his deportment and his elegance whose he never abandoned.

In the 80's, Stathis, exuberant and nonconformist, is one of the figures from the Bordeaux underground scene then in Paris where he haunts the equally mythical "Palace" & "Bains-Douches". There he met Armande Altaï, which initiate him at the operatic singing. She was at the origine of the encounter between Stathis and the great rock photographer Antoine Giacomoni. Stathis became his model and his official makeup artist.

Free and independent singer with vocal expression extravagant unusual, Stathis writes and sings in several languages, revisiting traditional tunes, exploring limitless the ways of singing and music with singular attention.

The songwriting is marked with themes dear to the Romantism reflecting a kind of darkness, but always tinged with a hint of light. The passion, death, war, premonitions, loves and insanity live alongside the invitation to introspection travel, timeless, over destiny or lost civilizations.

According to his musical adventures, Stathis weave a network of singers friends : Lisa Gerrard, Siouxsie, Armande Altaï, Daniel Darc
