Angélique

Sculptress of transparencies, Angélique scrutinizes the World, grabs the present and extracts the symbolic forces. By the magical prism of her eye artist, Angélique transmutes reality into dream vision, pure and uncluttered as a powerful evanescent memory.

Angélique works different materials : she embroiders, cut, sew immaculate organdy, very thin cotton fabric, shape resin as alabaster and thermoformed plastic, evoking the fleeting reflection of the crystal.

Angélique thus manufactures unique sculptures, sometimes composite, haloed of intangible white that the light passes and animates, giving them their weightless and almost impalpable presence, creating a unique and fantastic work that transforms the daily and places it timeless.

Needles and silk thread tame minutely the frames of the delicate organdy whose volumes appear suddenly emerge from nothing, leaving empty and transparencies, the translucency and opacity of contents meet and play between themselves, giving life to a delicate, diaphanous work, like an apparition.

The seam draws, structures, shapes and assembles the facets of the sculpture, in a long work of extreme precision, where every subtle detail is expressed and disturbs, reinforced by the incessant and vertiginous dialogue between inside and outside where all dimensions overlap and participate of the mirage.

Angélique weaves invisible and time like sublime dreams & wonderful chrysalis.
The frontier of matter seems abolished, almost border on the unreal, revealing in their strength, simplicity and highlight the mystery, the essence of things and the soul of beings, their quintessence.
