{ THROUGH THE MIRROR }
Antoine Giacomoni has in common with Lewis Caroll the passion for Photography and the gift to drive us through the mirror. But he conflates the two. Placed on an easel, his mirror is similar to those lodges, surrounded by a garland of lamps. Similar in appearance only because that mirror is magic. The subject is self-hypnotized, starring into the eyes of his own image, drowning in his gaze, and at the instant when while rocking Antoine Giacomoni captures the soul. He's a thief, an enchanter, who into a photo magnifies a facade and makes glimpse the inner landscape.
All his portraits exude a feeling of supernatural : the photographed are there without being there, and we recognize in dotted in the iris of his victims the signing this square of light.

Antoine Giacomoni is considered as the international rock photographer who made the portrait of many famous artists such as : Lene Lovich, Marianne Faithfull, Lou Reed, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Siouxsie, Boy George, Nick Cave, Peter Murphy, Johnny Lydon ... but also the french scene : Armande Altaï, Daniel Darc, Etienne Daho, Isabelle Adjani, Brigitte Fontaine, Marquis de Sade, Les Garçons Bouchers ...
Antoine Giacomoni also photographed actors, celebrities and anonymous.
He has published several books and still practices his art.
